March Release 2012 - Pullip Regeneration Series O_O

As many people have probably already heard, Groove is re-releasing old Pullips!! They are part of the Regeneration Series or aka Fukkoku Edition!!

First phase is out for pre-order now and they are Fanatica and Fantastic Alice!! xDD Second phase will be Moon and Anne! xD Each doll is limited to 500 pieces worldwide! @___@

Fanatica is one of my grails so I've already pre-ordered her! <33 Supposedly there are slight changes to the regeneration girls than the originals. They will have type 4 bodies, but I am not sure how much the moulds and face-up will change (these I am hoping will be similar enough to the originals though... I adore Fanatica's eyes and face and it's why she's my grail! Dx). I've read others who have said that they may also be changing the plastic, so shiny-faced original girls will end up having matt faces in the regeneration series. Though everything I know is from other people's blogs and posts, so I don't know anything for sure... (drats!)

Many people are also upset about the re-releases... probably because they had to save up a long time and bite the bullet at $300-$450 for these dolls. But since there will be differences between the original dolls and these re-releases, I think they can rest assured that their dolls will always be the 'original' and will still hold their value. Some have raised the issue that it will be harder to tell the difference between the originals and the re-releases when looking to buy the original - causing a lot more scamming - which I agree will probably be an issue. But if they are buying a MIB original, they will be able to tell the differences on the packaging - loose dolls will probably be harder to tell unless you get close ups of the body and face.

I for one am glad for the re-releases (can you tell? lol) and do not mind if there are differences. Although I've been a long time collector, I couldn't bring myself to pay that much money for a single pullip doll (maybe if I won the lottery?). So I think these re-releases will be a nice alternative for me and many new and old collectors who can't afford the originals.

Alright, enough talk... picture spamming time!!

I've also tried looking at pictures of the original Fanatica and compared it to the re-released pics and they seem similar enough... so can't do anything except wait till I get mine and see!! x3
